Well, Thanksgiving has come and gone. It is officially the Christmas Season. I started the holiday by waking up and taking Connor (my 1 1/2 year old son if you didn’t know) for his first race. This was the second year I ran the Turkey Trot in New Cumberland. My time came in at 37:21 for the 5K. Not bad considering I have been slacking off, it was very slow to start, and Connor wanted to stretch after 1/4 mile. He usually loves running with me.

Thursday dinner went great. All the food was so good. I had my in-laws over and it was real nice seeing everyone. Family dinners should definitely happen more often, but it is rough when you live apart.

Friday, yes, Black Friday, I woke up at 4 AM and started some shopping. Yes, I am nuts! Although I didn’t get what I went out for, I got it at another store, and managed to grab a few other deals too. Plus some french toast at Denny’s made for an okay morning. Work was very long and I am glad to have this weekend.

Landscaping project looks great even though it is just starting. I really wasn’t onboard with the new retaining wall idea, but it definitely was the right way to go.

This week should be fun. I have the morning off from work on Tuesday while I wait for the Cable guy to move our cable internet access point downstairs to where the new office will be. I will take the time to follow up on some new media leads and do some researching into future contacts/career possibilities. But then again, I may just goof off or move a lot of furniture. So much to do…

Today was productive on many levels. I got a lot done on the big database project I am working on at work. It is done except for documentation. Then I rushed home after work to update a site I did for my sister in law. You can check that out over at http://www.bednetssavekids. Turns out iWeb messed it up, so I just made it a bit fancier in Dreamweaver.

Finally hit the Gym again tonight. I have been away for far too long and I don;t see any daylight anymore with working later and the change of the seasons. Looking forward to the weekend. Going for a beer on Friday night with a good friend, and then some family time at the Baltimore Aquarium on Saturday morning.

Hey. Welcome to BrianPolensky.com. This is going to be a place for me to put my ramblings about life, technology, new media, podcasting, music, family, and fatherhood. You may have found your way here from PolenskyFamily.com, my family website. Well, I am deciding to keep that site all family oriented. I am sure my wife will be happy with that!

Recently, I attended PodCamp Boston 2 which was just an eye-opening experience for me. Not only did I get to meet some of the big names in New Media, but I also met some new people who I am now following/interacting with online in some way. My favorite session was about Personal Branding given by Mitch Joel of Six Pixels of Separation. Thinking about this session gave me the idea to start this site.

What will you see here?
That seems to be the question. I will be putting a lot of personal info as well as tech/media thoughts/comments on here. I will also be using this as a testing ground into how I would like to expand myself into the New Media market. Check back soon as I will be updating the page and personalizing it to be more, well, personal branded.

Don’t forget that I have all my important links over on the right hand side, as well as some must see links that I think you should visit.

Cheers!
